2. Discussion
Discussion is a text which present a
problematic discourse. This problem will be
discussed from different view points.
Discussion is commonly found in
philosophical, historic, and social text.
Purpose of discussion text is to present
point two point of view about issue.

3. Generic Structur
• Statement of issue ; stating the issue which is
to discussed.
• List of supporting point s ; presenting the point
in supporting the presented issue => argument
for (pro).
• List of contrastive point ; presenting other
points which disagree to the supporting point.
=> argument againts (contra).
• Recommendation ; stating the writer
recommendation of tge discourse.

4. Language Future
 Focus on generic human/natural human participant.
 Thinking verb to give personal view of the writer.
Example : feel, believe, hope, realize, etc
 Material process/action verb to explain the problem that
happen.
 Relational process/relating verb.
Example : could have, cause, are
 Additives, contrastives, and causal connectives to connected the
argument.
Example : similary, on the hand, however, etc.
 Modalities.
Example : perhaps, must, should, should has been, could be,
etc.
 Adverbiasl of maner.
Example : deliberately, hopefully, etc

long time for hangout
sleep with comfortable
can do lazy on Saturday or Sunday
Disadvantage : the student has tired because comeback late
difficult transportation
feel sleepy when studied time
no foccus on last learning
the homework has ignored
no study at night cause so tired after school
