1) Ebenezer Scrooge is a mean-spirited miser who hates Christmas and believes only in making money.
2) On Christmas Eve, Scrooge receives visits from the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, who show him how his selfish ways have affected others and will lead to his lonely death.

3. A hard, clever, mean old man called the Scrooge lives in London. He thinks about making money only and takes no interest in other people at all.
4. One Christmas Eve, Scrooge have been working as usual. At that time, Scrooge’s nephew, Fred, visits Scrooge’s office named SCROOGE & MARLEY to invite his uncle to his house for Christmas dinner. But he severely criticizes the Christmas and makes his nephew go back.
5. Also, he never wants to donate any money for poor people at all. So gentlemen who ask him a charitable donation cannot help leaving his office. He thinks that people are too poor to merry and Christmas is humbug. He says to his clerk, Bob Cratchit, that he must come to work very early on the day after Christmas and goes back his home.
6. When he reaches home and takes a rest, Jacob Marley, who was Scrooge's partner but is dead, appears to him in a form of ghost wearing lots of chains.

The ghost warns him that the spirit of every man who doesn't help other people in life have to travel endlessly through the world after death with heavy chains that he made himself in his lifetime. After reminding him of the words and telling that three spirits will come to visit him, the ghost leaves his house. Scrooge is too afraid, but thinks it is just humbug.

10. The ghost of Christmas Present comes out on the second day and shows Christmas of present to Scrooge. The ghost of present lets Scrooge see the scene of Christmas of Bob's family. Although they are very poor, they are spending very delight time with all family members. There is Bob's child, Tim, who is disabled but very cheerful boy. Seeing him, Scrooge feels sympathy.
11. So, Scrooge begs the ghost to save Tim's life. But he tells Scrooge. "What then? If he has to die, he has to do it! And decrease the surplus population!" These words are exactly the same as Scrooge said to the people who asked a donation for poor neighborhood.
12. After then, the ghost lets him look the scene of Christmas of his nephew, Fred. In that place, people gather and enjoy the guessing games. The quiz is about uncle Scrooge, and they talk about him negatively. Seeing them, Scrooge feels bitterish.

15. Scrooge says that I am not the man in the past. Three ghosts make him new man. He promise that he will love the Christmas.
16. Scrooge wakes up in his bedroom and joyfully reminds his vow to live from the lessons of the three ghosts. A boy tells him it is Christmas Day, and Scrooge realizes that the ghosts visited him all in one night, not three.
17. Now he is quite another man. He buys a big Christmas turkey and sends it to the Cratchits. Also he promises a great deal of money to the gentleman who asked him for a charitable donation yesterday. In the evening, he visits Fred's house and has a wonderful time at the party.
18. The next morning, he gives Cratchit a raise. Scrooge continues his kindly ways after Christmas, becoming a second father to Tiny Tim, who does not die. He never sees the ghosts again, but he keeps the spirit of Christmas alive in his heart.
