SHELLMAN is a web-based data management solution for aquaculture and shellfish businesses that simplifies routine data collection and regulatory reporting. It allows users to track production, inventory, sales, costs and other business data in real-time from any device with an internet connection. This eliminates errors from paper-based systems and improves efficiency over spreadsheets. Data is securely stored on remote servers with backups. The software will also enable traceability across the supply chain and integration of state and federal reporting requirements. A beta version is scheduled for testing in early 2013 with a full commercial release by spring.
