1. Mountain gorillas

2. Gorillas are very large and powerful animals but they can also be very gentle. They also live a very peaceful life and are not fierce towards people unless they are hurt by them. Gorillas and humans are actually very similar.

3. Why are they endangered ? Mountain gorillas are one of the most endangered animals in the world. They (scientist) think that there are only 600 left in the world. Gorillas are endangered because of habitat loss (deforestation), war and poaching. This is a picture of a dead gorilla

4. Where they live Mountain gorillas live in forests and usually you will find them in higher surfaces. They usually live in East Central Africa. People are cutting down trees so that they can build roads. But mountain gorillas live there so hunters will use these roads and find these gorillas very easily. Mountains gorillas will also have nowhere to live (habitat loss).

5. Diet Mountain gorillas are vegetarians and eat over one hundred different types of plants. This is a picture of plants

6. Who’s helping lots of people are trying to help these mountain gorillas such as the AWF wild life. They are helping by putting up a website talking about how they are being treated. They are also making people to adopt a mountain gorilla.

7. If nothing is done these creatures will be extinct because of what is happening now. mountain gorillas habitat are growing less and less and they are becoming more rare. What happens if nothing is done

8. Predators Mountain gorillas have 3 main predators: leopards, crocodiles and humans, but crocodiles will usually attack the western lowland gorillas. Crocodiles Us leopards

9. Why humans hunt mountain gorillas People are also setting traps because they want to capture these mountain gorillas for the zoos in many countries. They (poachers) also sell there heads and hands for prizes. They do that because the heads and hands are very special and they can sell them for higher prices. Dead mountain gorilla
