Abstract Fe2O3 nanoparticles have been prepared by a simple solvothermal method using a domestic microwave oven. X-ray powder diffraction measurement indicates the amorphous nature of the as-prepared sample. Calcined samples were obtained by annealing the as-prepared sample at different temperatures, viz. 400, 500, 600 and 700oC. Transmission electron microscopic images indicate that all the five samples are spherical in shape. AC electrical measurements were carried out on pelletized samples by the parallel plate capacitor method at various temperatures ranging from 40-130oC and frequencies ranging from 100 Hz -1 MHz. Results indicate low AC electrical conductivities and consequently show the occurrence of nano confined states. The exciton Bohr radii obtained from the dielectric constant values at 40oC temperature and 1 kHz frequency are 41.8, 54.8, 55.3, 56.3 and 27.0 respectively for the as-prepared sample and samples calcined at 400, 500, 600 and 700oC which indicate a strong quantum confinement effect. Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode Introduction Quantum dots (QD) or semiconductor Nano crystals could provide an alternative for commercial applications such as display technology. This display technology would be similar to organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays, in that light would be supplied on demand, which would enable more efficient displays. Quantum dots could support large, flexible displays. At present, they are used only to filter light from LEDs to backlight LCDs, rather than as actual displays. Properties and performance are determined by the size and/or composition of the QD. QDs are both photo-active (photo luminescent) and electro-active (electroluminescent) allowing them to be readily incorporated into new emissive display architectures. Definition QD-LED or QLED is considered as a next generation display technology after OLED-Displays. “QLED means Quantum dot light emitting diodes and are a form of light emitting technology and consist of nano-scale crystals that can provide an alternative for applications such as display technology”. The light emitting centers are cadmium selenide (CdSe) nanocrystals, or quantum dots. Charactristics ❀ QLEDs are a reliable, energy efficient, tunable color solution for display and lighting applications that reduce manufacturing costs, while employing ultra-thin, transparent or flexible materials. ❀ Quantum-dot-based LEDs are characterized by pure and saturated emission colors with narrow bandwidth. ❀ Their emission wavelength is easily tuned by changing the size of the quantum dots. Moreover, QD-LED offer high color purity and durability combined with the efficiency, flexibility, and low processing cost of organic light-emitting devices. QD-LED structure can be tuned over the entire visible wavelength range from 460 nm (blue) to 650 nm ❀ Due to spectrally narrow, tunable emission, and ease of processing, colloidal QDs are attractive materials for LED technologies.

Photonic network-on-chip (PNoC) architectures are a potential candidate for communication in future chip multi-processors as they can attain higher bandwidth with lower power dissipation than electrical NoCs. PNoCs typically employ dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) for high bandwidth transfers. Unfortunately, DWDM increases crosstalk noise and decreases optical signal to noise ratio (SNR) in microring resonators (MRs) threatening the reliability of data communication. Additionally, process variations induce variations in the width and thickness of MRs causing shifts in resonance wavelengths of MRs, which further reduces signal integrity, leading to communication errors and bandwidth loss. In this paper, we propose a novel encoding mechanism that intelligently adapts to on-chip process variations, and improves worst-case SNR by reducing crosstalk noise in MRs used within DWDM-based PNoCs. Experimental results on the Corona PNoC architecture indicate that our approach improves worst-case SNR by up to 44.13%.

This paper presents a new rectifier design for radio frequency (RF) energy harvesting by adopting a particular circuit topology to achieve two objectives at the same time. First, work with modulated input signal sources instead of only continuous waveform (CW) signals. Second, operate with a wide input power range using the Wilkinson power divider (WPD) and two different rectifier diodes (HSMS2852 and SMS7630) instead of using active components. According to the comparison with dual-band rectifiers presented in the literature, the designed rectifier is a high-efficiency rectifier for wide RF power input ranges. A peak of 67.041% and 49.089% was reached for 2.45 and 5.8 GHz, respectively, for CW as the input signal. An efficiency of 72.325% and 45.935% is obtained with a 16 QAM modulated input signal for the operating frequencies, respectively, 69.979% and 54.579% for 8PSK. The results obtained demonstrate that energy recovery systems can use modulated signals. Therefore, the use of a modulated signal over a CW signal may have additional benefits.

To improve the user experience, wizards in Odoo provide an interactive session. For creating wizards, we can use transient models or abstract models. This gives features of a model class except the data storing. Transient and abstract models have permanent database persistence. For them, database tables are made, and the records in such tables are kept until they are specifically erased.
