•After attending Columbia and New York Universities, Allison studied design at Parsons School of
Design in NYC and had her own residential design business before joining Ethan Allen. She has
completed projects from country homes in New York’s Hudson Valley to lofts in Manhattan to a
penthouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Intra-coastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida.
•Allison believes that getting to know her client’s by talking with them and meeting with them in
their homes, she can better understand their lifestyle, design needs and vision for their living space.
She can then pull all of this information together to create a space that complements the
homeowner’s lifestyle while making a stunning visual impact. An edict of William Morris in which she
believes strongly - “Have nothing in your homes that you do not know to be useful and believe to
be beautiful.” sums up her design philosophy.
