                The AMBCC CEO Literary Group operates
                within the Information Sector.

                The Information sector is comprised of the
                following processes:

                (a) producing and distributing information and
                cultural products

                (b) providing the means to transmit or
                distribute these products as well as data or
                communications, and

                (c) processing data.

                The main components of this sector are the
                publishing industries, including software
                publishing, the motion picture and sound
                recording industries, the broadcasting and
                telecommunications industries, and the
                information services and data processing
                industries.

                The Publishing and Media industry is
                undergoing a significant paradigm shift in
                business models. Increasing print costs,
                reduction in circulation numbers and strong
                growth of the digital media are redefining the
                old ways of making money.

                     websites. Experian Hitwise categorizes

                     percentage does not include traffic for

                 E-Publishing-A type of business model, or
                 segment of a larger business model, that enables
                 a firm or individual to conduct business over an
                 electronic network, typically the internet.
                 Electronic commerce operates in all four of the
                 major market segments: business to business,

                 and consumer to business.

                 E-Publishing has allowed firms to establish a

                          The Dinner for Discussion series is an
                          entrepreneurial inspired and casual
                          professional book club for AMBCC
                          members and friends. The Book Club was
                          designed as a tool for professional
                          development for AMBCC members in an
                          effort to create dialogue and broaden
                          awareness in the areas of business,
                          community and governmental matters.
From Paper to Publishing 3.0



                   The From Paper to Publishing 3.0 Forum
                   is open to persons interested in learning
                   more about writing and in furthering their
                   writing careers. Participants will learn from
                   presenters with extensive writing credits
                   about ways to “break in” to fiction or
                   nonfiction, writing fiction and mysteries,
                   and gaining a better understanding of
                   what agents want.
Technical Writing Workshops- “The Write
Side”



                   Without a doubt effective communication skills are critical
                   components of career and entrepreneurial success.

                   Writing technical information and effective memos,
                   letters, reports, manuals, instructions, documentation,,
                   specifications or proposals can be a challenging
                   proposition. The CEO Lit Group will deliver oral and
                   written communication workshops that focus on
                   improvement in writing and presentation skills and help
                   develop competitive business plans, grant proposals,
                   research publications and other written materials.

                   This intensive 1-day workshop will show you proven
                   technical writing approaches and techniques that you
                   can apply back on the job to achieve successful
                   technical writing communications. Bring a current project
                   and get one-on-one feedback.

                  misspellings, poor grammar or disconnects in a
                  text.

                  A publisher, literary agent or book reviewer will
                  ignore your manuscript if the writing is under par,

Pitch Sessions and Agent Roundtables


                              CEO Literary Group pitch sessions are intensive
                              90-minute forums that cover the principles of
                              formulating an effective and concise pitch for
                              your publishable work. Participants will be
                              randomly selected to have their pitches
                              individually critiqued in class

                              When you "pitch" a book to an agent or an
                              editor, you are, in effect, attempting to get that
                              person interested in reading your work.
                              Because agents and editors have a tremendous
                              number of manuscripts & queries to read each
                              day, the CEO Literary Group has created a
                              special session exclusive for members within the
                              CLG who have completed the necessary

                              Each presenter’s pitch must be succinct,
                              intriguing, and exciting. It must leave the agent
                              or editor wanting to read a sample of your book.

Annual CEO Literary Symposium (Spring & Fall)

               The CEO Literary Symposium features 100+ agents, authors, editors,
               book, music, film and gaming industry professionals. We have
               created a dynamic environment for non-stop opportunities for
               learning and networking . The Self Publishing Expo provides
               authors, bloggers, writers, publishers, scholars and others with
               immediate opportunities to begin earning money immediately when
               the symposium is over.

               Expert Panels:
               Attendees will hear from industry professionals publishers of fiction and
               non-fiction works, music, film, sports, news and others will be featured at
               various sessions, panels, and workshops taught by authors you know
               and respect.

               Pitch Competition:
               When you "pitch" a book to an agent or an editor, you are, in effect,
               attempting to get that person interested in reading your work.
               Because agents and editors have a tremendous number of manuscripts
               & queries to read each day, the CEO Literary Group has created a
               special session exclusive for members with the CLG who have

               Self Publishing Expo and After-Hours Mixer
               The Symposium’s Publishing Expo will feature celebrity book signings
               and after hours social gatherings with other writers, agents, publishers
               and other key decision makers. The After-hours mixer will feature an
               open mics and pitch contests. This friendly, yet professional,
               atmosphere provides attendees with an opportunities to build key
               relations beyond the event.

  • 11. Dinner for Discussion It’s food for thoughts… The Dinner for Discussion series is an entrepreneurial inspired and casual professional book club for AMBCC members and friends. The Book Club was designed as a tool for professional development for AMBCC members in an effort to create dialogue and broaden awareness in the areas of business, community and governmental matters.
  • 12. From Paper to Publishing 3.0 The From Paper to Publishing 3.0 Forum is open to persons interested in learning more about writing and in furthering their writing careers. Participants will learn from presenters with extensive writing credits about ways to “break in” to fiction or nonfiction, writing fiction and mysteries, and gaining a better understanding of what agents want.
  • 13. Technical Writing Workshops- “The Write Side” Without a doubt effective communication skills are critical components of career and entrepreneurial success. Writing technical information and effective memos, letters, reports, manuals, instructions, documentation,, specifications or proposals can be a challenging proposition. The CEO Lit Group will deliver oral and written communication workshops that focus on improvement in writing and presentation skills and help develop competitive business plans, grant proposals, research publications and other written materials. This intensive 1-day workshop will show you proven technical writing approaches and techniques that you can apply back on the job to achieve successful technical writing communications. Pitch Sessions and Agent Roundtables CEO Literary Group pitch sessions are intensive 90-minute forums that cover the principles of formulating an effective and concise pitch for your publishable work. Participants will be randomly selected to have their pitches individually critiqued in class When you "pitch" a book to an agent or an editor, you are, in effect, attempting to get that person interested in reading your work. Because agents and editors have a tremendous number of manuscripts & queries to read each day, the CEO Literary Group has created a special session exclusive for members within the CLG who have completed the necessary A Pitchapalooza hopeful . . preparation session. Each presenter’s pitch must be succinct, intriguing, and exciting. It must leave the agent or editor wanting to read a sample of your book. .
  • 16. Annual CEO Literary Symposium (Spring & Fall) The CEO Literary Symposium features 100+ agents, authors, editors, book, music, film and gaming industry professionals. We have created a dynamic environment for non-stop opportunities for learning and networking . The Self Publishing Expo provides authors, bloggers, writers, publishers, scholars and others with immediate opportunities to begin earning money immediately when the symposium is over. Expert Panels: Attendees will hear from industry professionals publishers of fiction and non-fiction works, music, film, sports, news and others will be featured at various sessions, panels, and workshops taught by authors you know and respect.
