Our Company
ANEK LINES S.A. was founded on April 10th 1967, as the first multi–
shareholder company with headquarters in Chania, Crete.
The ANEK LINES staff counts an average of 1200 persons in crew
members and Coastal services.
ΑΝΕΚ LINES started passenger shipping, in September 1970
with the routing of its first vessel F/B "KYDON" on the route
Piraeus – Chania. Today, its modern fleet consists of 8 privately
owned vessels: F/B EL. VENIZELOS, F/B OLYMPIC CHAMPION, F/B
HELLENIC SPIRIT, F/B KRITI I, F/B KRITI II, F/B LATO and F/B PREVELIS.
The new ferry boat F/B ELYROS also joined the fleet of ANEK
LINES in Summer 2008.
ANEK LINES has a leading role in the Adriatic Sea, connecting
F/B KYDON 1970
Venice in Italy, with Patras and Igoumenitsa in Greece.
Moreover, ANEK LINES & SUPERFAST FERRIES operate a joint
service in the international route Ancona – Igoumenitsa –
Patras and the domestic route to Crete, Piraeus – Heraklion.
Through this joint service, the capacity offered in the Ancona –
Igoumenitsa – Patras route is optimized and the offered services
in the Piraeus – Heraklion route, are upgraded.
On a daily basis, ANEK LINES departs from Piraeus to the port of
Chania in Crete. In Spring 2008, the Company started serving
new lines, sailing from Piraeus to the Cyclades Islands, NE
Aegean islands and the Dodecanese islands.
The total transportation capacity of ΑΝΕΚ LINES’s fleet is 19.000
passengers in 9.000 beds and total storage facilities of 18km for

In December 1998 the company‘s shares, where listed in the
Athens Stock Exchange Market.
In Spring 2005, the Headquarters of Anek Lines moved to new,
privately-owned modern offices in Chania, its completion has
been a vision for decades.

λυτεχνείου Κρήτης στον διεθνή διαγωνισμό Οικονομίας Καυσίμου της
