Work-Life-Balance Topic for the 2nd ARTS HR work group
Balance in job and everyday life - How do companies support their staff to better reconcile work
and private life? On the 27.05.2015, ARTS and LRT (Kompetenzzentrum Luft- und Raumfahrt
Sachsen/Thüringen e.V./Skill Centre Aerospace and Space Technology Saxony/Thuringia) invite to
the second HR work group hosted at Elbe Flugzeugwerke in Dresden with a focus on the topic of
work-life-balance.
Dresden, 18|05|2015
During this second HR work group launched by ARTS and
LRT, Aileen Kreibich, Expert for workplace health promotion
reveals how companies can manage to retain happy,
motivated and healthy employees with only a few, low-cost
measures.
Ms Kreibich will also respond to the current situation of the
participating companies from the aerospace sector.
It is a myth to believe that work and private life are opposites since the popular flexible working hour
models create blurred borders between those two "lives". Today's modern employee values that he can
decide himself how to reconcile his private and professional life using his home office. It is every
employer's duty of care to promote the well-being and health of their staff within the workplace with
relevant measures. Flexible working hour arrangements are only one measure amongst many. Sport and
health activities e.g. in cooperation with statutory health insurance providers create a balanced
workforce.
Ms Kreibich will elaborate on the following aspects during an interactive lecture:
1. Set-up of a partner network for work-life-balance
2. Presentation of a catalog of measures with a rough cost plan (practical example)
3. Guide on how to introduce "Workplace Health Promotion"
After successfully completing her degree in HR management, Aileen Kreibich also gained a certification
for workplace health management. She has already developed models for workplace health promotion
for a Saxony based automotive supplier and has launched the measures successfully. Her responsibility
was the active support of 700 members of staff and the development of measures for workplace health
promotion. She has been part of the ARTS HR team since 2015 and consults e.g. companies in the
aerospace sector on how to implement workplace health promotion efficiently and sustainably.
