My Family History By Aaron Aguirre
Great-great-grandparents and Great-grandparents Great-great-grandparents Felipe Aguirre and Maria Palma were born in the mid 1800s in Mexico. Great Grandparents Timoteo Aguirre and Juanita Saldaña were born in 1895 in San Francisco del Rincon, Guanajuato, Mexico.
Great-grandparents In 1909, my great-grandfather, Timoteo Aguirre migrated to the United States. He then came back to Mexico marry my great-grandmother Juanita Saldaña in 1920. After their marriage, my great-grandparents migrated back to the United States and resided in Kansas.
Work in the United States My great-grandfather, Timoteo, got a job for the railroad and worked in the round house, where they fixed the motors of the trains, for the company Rock Island Railroad.
Starting a Family My great-grandparents Timoteo and Juanita raised a family of four children, three boys and one girl. My grandfather Benito Aguirre was the youngest of the boys and was born in 1927 in Herington, Kansas. In the 1930’s my grandfather and his family moved back to Mexico.
Grandparents My grandmother, Amalia Garcia, was born in 1939 in La Rivera, Jalisco, Mexico. In 1943, my grandfather, Benito, moved back to the United States and moved to Merced, California.
Grandparents When in the United States, my grandfather got a job with Union Pacific Railroad, where he worked with the trains. In 1947, my grandfather moved to Las Angeles, California. In 1953, my grandfather met my grandmother. In 1954, my grandparents got married in Carson City, Nevada.
Starting a family My grandparents raised a family of five children, four boys and one girl. My father, Benito Aguirre Jr., was born in 1958 in Los Angeles California and was the second oldest of the five children. In 1993, my grandparents moved to Pomona, California.
Parents My mother, Angelica Muñoz, was born in 1967 in San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico. In 1883 my mother came to the United States and moved to Los Angeles.
Parents In 1985, my parents met in a Los Angeles meat market. In 1986, my parents got married in Los Angeles. In 1989, after two years living with my grandparents in Pomona, my parents moved to Chino, California.
Starting a Family My parents raised a family of five children, two boys and three girls. I was born on December 28, 1990 in Anaheim, California. As to this day I still live in Chino.
