Date of Birth:
21stJune 1978
I am a hard-working, self-motivated individual, eager to learn new skills or trades. I have previously held
three long term jobs, all in completely different fields and with over five years’ experience in all. I worked
as part of a technical team in a quality control laboratory straight from college, and then as an individual
for seven years assembling and building timber frame housing. I've enjoyed working as part of a team and
as individual and i feel i would be a good asset to any team or company. When I started with my previous
employer (Cath Kidston now IForce), I began as a picker/packer, but was then given the opportunity as a
Stock Inventory Administrator. I then learnt both in-house computer systems (Maginus and Futura) and
increased my excel skills considerably in such a short space of time, and after 4 1/2 years learnt and
increased my knowledge in all areas of stock control. In the final year i received a promotion to Senior
Stock Controller, and was seen as the most experienced member of the team. I was more than willing and
able to pass on all my skills and knowledge to any new members that joined the team, that’d I’d learnt over
the previous 4 1/2 years. From May 2013, Cath Kidston transferred all employees to a new company
IForce, to run the distribution centre. From there i was again promoted, this time to P.I Team Leader,
following numerous training courses at various IForce sites, on their home grown system, SMaRT, I was
deemed more than suitable to take on this new role. In a very short space of time my new system
knowledge was second to none and I’d adapted myself very well to the new processes and tasks. I also had
a team of between 7-10 staff, depending on the workload week to week, which was all new to me, but I
took it all in my stride, adding a new string to my bow.
Unfortunately, 6 months into IForce running the Distribution centre, my resource was taken away, hours
were cut, and I was no longer able to fulfil all my targets set out by the Company. With this, I opted to seek
employment elsewhere, as I do not like to only do half a job, and I felt I was being held back by the
restraints put in place.
In October 2013, I applied for the Stock Control position at Xaar Ltd and was successful. The Company
again had 2 computer systems running alongside each other which I managed to learn very quickly. The
job was a challenge, and the responsibility great, however after only 10 months in the role, I felt I wasn’t
being allowed to stamp my own authority on the position and use a lot of my own ideas of how things
should work to make the PI process os stock control run smoothly. Similar to Cath Kidston/I Force, I felt
frustrated and held back, so again, I looked for an alternative and in August 2013 I transferred within Xaar
into Production and became an Operator. In only 8 months I have been trained and signed off on 5
different operations within the ‘Front End’ of the operation line, which has served me well when looking to
work extra hours, and also served my Supervisors/Cell Leaders well when they have been short staffed in
various areas. My flexibility to the role has become an asset, and I have since been approached to work on
a new line of technology for the future.
After nearly 9 months working on the new line (P4 – Thin Film), helping to achieve a big milestone for Xaar,
by producing the first ‘working’ 1200dpi Printhead. As a very ambitious individual, I would now like to
further my knowledge and skills in a new field and to understand the whole picture when it comes to the
world of Inkjet printing, printheads and the technology that it’s associated with.
2. At the same time, I would dearly love to find a new role back in a field of expertise I love, which is
Stock/Inventory control.
