According to a survey by Affinion International Ltd, many Britons want more guidance on managing their credit profiles. Nearly half of respondents would like to know more about managing credit and think banks should provide more help. While one in five plan to be more proactive managing their profiles in the future, current understanding is limited - only 20% know their credit score, 80% are unaware how long information stays on reports, and 50% don't know how to fix errors. This lack of knowledge contributes to infrequent usage, as just 25% have checked their reports in the past year.
