Mechanical energy is energy that is produced by
the position and motion of a body, can be
potential and kinetic.
-Kinetic energy is produceed by the motion of an
object
-Potencial energy is produced when an object
move from its stable position of equilibrium.

Is the energy that is produced from
electromagnetic radiation.This energy is
transported by electromagnetic waves. One of
this is the luminous energy.

The sound energy is the energy that carry sound
waves. It comes from the vibrational energy of
sound focus and spreads to the medium particles
that cross in the form of kinetic energy and
potential energy.

Nuclear energy is the energy released in nuclear

Thermal energy is heat energy produced by

gaseous, also obtained by electricity, by

This energy is generated by the movement of
the particles forming the subject.
Thermal energy is the result of adding all the
mechanical energy associated with the
movements of the different particles that form
and unit of thermal energy is heat.
In the thermal energy, there are 2 types: the
heat energy and solar thermal.

15. POWER STATIONS
A power plant is a plant where some kind of
fuel is used in order to produce electricity.
In this way there are: thermal plants (using
steam or gas turbines), hydroelectric (using
water power by means of hydraulic turbines
and generators with automated operation),
nuclear, wind (using wind energy) and solar
(solar energy).
16. ABOUT WIND TURBINES THAT PRODUCE FRESH WATER
This report explains the process of how fresh water
can be produce from humid air by using wind
turbines. This project is very important, because if
it’s carried out, it could solve many problems, for
example: islands cannot centralized their water
supply, or some remote communities in arid
countries where water resources are scarce.
