2. Front Cover
Shot: Long Shot
This shot shows the artist from head to toes. As the
model represents a new musician the audience
might not be perfectly familiar with her. The Long
Shot gives the opportunity to become an idea of
the artist, the style of clothing and the way how
she expresses herself.
Angle: Eye Level
An Eye Level Shot creates a direct connection from
the artist to the reader. When the model looks
directly at the audience without glancing away it
shows that she is ready to share her secrets with
the reader. This angle also sets an intensifying
atmosphere and brings people to buy the
magazine.

3. Content Page
Angle: Eye Level
Shot
The artist looks open
and friendly into the
reader’s eyes. This
supports the
purpose of imitating
a friendly
conversation which
is already confirmed
by the medium shot.
Characters: girl group, in their early twenties
Costume: dressed in black and white, curly hair, casual hair
style
Location: set studio shot
Props: none
Lighting: highlights on the artist’s faces, should look natural not
aggressive or exaggerated
Shot: Medium
Shot/Two Shot
This shot shows some
part of the subject in
more detail, whilst still
showing enough for
the audience to feel as
if they were looking at
the whole subject. In
fact, this is an
approximation of how
you would see a
person "in the flesh" if
you were having a
casual conversation.
This shot is a hint that
there will be an
interview with this
artist.
