Alias was founded in 1979, spaghetti is the first successful product, now permanently displayed
at MOMA in New York. In 1994 frame collection was launched on the market and in 1998
Laleggera won the Compasso d’Oro Award. In 2001 Cassina bought 100% of Alias shares.

4. NORMA
2009 2010 2011
In 2010 Renato Stauffacher and a group of entrepreneurs including
Andrea Sanguineti bought the majority of Alias shares from Poltrona
Frau Group. In the same year Alias won its second Compasso d’Oro
award, thanks to Teak outdoor table.
