Geographical facts The most populous Muslim country is Indonesia, the 4th largest country in the world with 184 million Muslims.  There are more Muslims in India than the combined population of Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine and the whole of the Arabian Peninsula. The name “Muhammad” is the most common name in the world
The following English words are borrowed from Arabic: Algebra, Zero, Cotton, Sofa, Rice, Candy, Saffron, Balcony, and 'alchohol‘.  Arabic is not spoken by the majority of Muslims.  John Nelson is the first UK Muslim convert around 1636. Shah JahanMosque, Woking is the first mosque in the UK.   1889.
