1. Introduction Hello! My name is Allyson Meyer, but I prefer to go by Ally. I am a senior here at the U of M, however I still have one more year of school. I am originally from Helena, Montana. I love to travel and be with my family and friends. I have two younger twin siblings and always loved being the older child. I’ve been playing these sports ever since I was in grade school. I am almost always outdoors running, hiking, swimming, or camping.
6. Why do I want to teach? I want to become a teacher because it is a great feeling to see something click in a students mind. To know that I will be able to make an impact on a child’s life is amazing. I am the type of person that only wants the best for everyone around me, and I will do anything to see it happen.
7. Goals as a teacher To further my knowledge everyday and remember that there is always room for improvement. To eliminate fear out of my classroom. Always remember that every child learns a different way and at a different pace. To gain and have trust with each of my students. Never lose sight of joy, passion, or excitement.
8. Experience I have been babysitting a 3 year old boy for almost 2 years now. I have volunteered at Paxson Elementary School and Lolo Elementary School as well, helping out with the first grade classes. In high school I worked at a daycare for a couple years taking care of children ages 1-6.
