4. Characters
While almost all the main characters in Enter
Three Witches, are not found in Macbeth,there are
the important few that remain such as, Lord and
Lady Macbeth. First, a girl named Mary. Also,
we are introduced in that book to the cook
named Swin, who knows much about magic and
Ildred, who is full of sadness. Fleonce, who was
in Macbeth,as a simple extra in the play, has a role
much greater in the retelling of this story.
5. Viewpoint
Enter Three Witches- A story written through the
point of view of a teenage girl named Lady
Mary. Also, a bit of Fleance’s view is shown too.
We witness Lord Macbeth and Lady Macbeth as
if we are watching them.
Macbeth- This is told mainly through the feelings
of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. We get to
understand who they are and what they are
going through.
7. Enter Three Witches- Summary
In this story you are introduced to Lady Mary,
who is patiently awaiting the return of her
future husband and father. She soon learns
that they have been hung for being traitors
against the king. Lady Mary becomes
“adopted” under Lord and Lady Macbeth, but
luckily for her they are to worried about
something else to giver her any attention.

The King is soon murdered and Lord and Lady
Macbeth become the new king and queen, but Lady
Mary is confused on who killed him. She had been
experiencing weird feelings in her thumbs, a sign only
the three weird sisters could understand. These feelings
only led her to be at the right place at the right time
when she overhears the death prophecy that is given to
Macbeth by the sisters. The amount of people dead
continues to get larger and her suspicion grows deeper.
Fleance, soon has a big role in the book when him and
his father are stopped by robbers, but eventually he fights
and flees, and goes to reclaim the thrown from Macbeth.

Lady Mary sees the power consuming Lord and
Lady Macbeth and feels as if she should act to
help save herself as well as Scotland.
