When it was established in 1931, KOGA primarily
represented the interests of Kentucky’s crude oil and
natural gas operators.
3. The mission of today’s Kentucky Oil & Gas Association is
to protect the state’s oil and gas industry while
advancing its best interests on a variety of public and
private fronts. KOGA’s significant achievements over the
years include the passage of the Conservation Bill for
Kentucky and thorough geological mapping of the entire
state.
4. The organization also serves to disseminate reliable
information and to promote Kentucky’s oil and gas
production in the national arena. KOGA remains true to
its conversationalist origins through its firm commitment
to responsible energy production that protects “property
rights, health, safety, and the environment.”
