2. Introduction (Thesis)
Child labor remains to be one of the major issues being
faced in society currently. Innocent children has been
playing a part in the labor force in order to help their
families survive. Most of which are forced into the
cruelty of labor market.
Child labor an ongoing issue arising in the late 1700’s
and early 1800’s. Most families had to point out one of
the family members to work in order to not make a
living but to meet ends meet and survive.
Child labor harms the children as it exploits them both
physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically
3. CHILD LABOR
From my perspective, more awareness through campaigns
should be set to put an end to child labor
Child Labor is a global issue that has been in existence for
centuries, especially in developing countries.
Different regions have varying opinions but this
presentation asserts the point of view that child labor is
illegal and should be banned.
Although it remains to be a rather controversial subject,
such a practice is UNACCEPTABLE.
POINT OF VIEW
4. WORLDWIDE CHILD LABOR
SITUATION
Currently, more than 218 million child laborers around
the world
Child labor deprives children from having an education
and deprives them from their childhood, stealing their
innocence
It increases exploitation which is against human rights
It keeps them away from their family
1 in 7 child on average are classified as a child laborer,
who works in hazardous conditions mostly
Child laborers are working in agriculture (60.0%),
25.6% work in services, 7.0% in industry and 7.5%
work in undefined areas.
School going aged children in Asia undergo harsh
working conditions all day instead of getting proper
education
ARGUMENT AGAINST CHILD LABOR
5. WORLDWIDE CHILD LABOR
SITUATION
Childhood is stolen, kids that should grow up in
playgrounds, instead develop in harsh conditions
from a very young age
Labor conditions has a significant impact on
adults that worked as children, they tend to be
shorter and lighter than other children
Child laborers mostly work in hazardous
conditions like construction and chemical
factories; pollutants from these places causes
severe health problems in adulthood
Mental well-being of children is compromised
since they don’t feel healthy or safe.

Examples of Child Labor
8. VOICE OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC
Countries believe that having child laborers increases
productivity when they don’t have access to proper
infrastructure – but EDUCATING children is a long
term advantage for a particular nation in building
their capital.
Children learn to be independent by working from a
young age – this argument is not valid, it can be
persuaded by mentioning that kids can be taught
values and morals at home and school, NO need for
bad working conditions
PERSUADING AGAINST CHILD LABOR
9. ABOLISHING CHILD LABOR
Encourage education:
Families and government can play a very essential role in
making sure the children get access to school and books,
educated adults will be more suitable to take up jobs than
being a laborer for life.
Monitoring rural areas:
Several organizations are currently working to look after
villages and suburbs in order to identify and stop the child
labor problem
Providing better options:
If children wish to volunteer and learn a particular skill set,
it is important to give them a safe and healthy environment
to practice instead of sending them to factories.
PERSUADING THE PUBLIC TO DISCOURAGE
CHILD LABOR
10. TO CONCLUDE THE INTRODUCTORY
POINT OF VIEW
Education and well-being of children is
their primary right, which should be
snatched from them.
We should all stand AGAINST child labor!
In conclusion, Child Labor is an extremely big issue
that is affecting billions of children globally until
this current day. Though it remains unsolved, there
has been a decrease within the previous few years
due to the increase in the awareness campaign.
