The Rays Club is organizing its 10th annual Mega Show on March 9th to celebrate Mauritius' independence and the club's 10th anniversary. They are expecting 2,500 students and high-profile guests. The Rays Club affiliated to the Students' Union, is organizing its lOth annual Me~a Show to
celebrate the 44th anniversary of the Independence of Mauritius as well as the 10 anniversary of
the "Rays Club". The show has been scheduled for the 9th of March as from 13 hrs tilll7 hrs.
This year we are expecting around 2500 students and we are also planning to have as Chief Guests
the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Honorable Minister Raj eshwar JEETAH, as well as the
University Administration.
The show will consist of dances, songs, fashion show and sketches. The entry fee will be Rs40
per student and available only to UoM students.
This event has been organised by the Rays Club over the past 10 years and this year we are
humbly requesting your usual approval to organize the show.
Organizing such a big event is naturally expensive and we would appreciate your help in terms of
sponsorship be in cash or materials, to make the mega show a successful happening. A detailed
description of the estimated costing is attached. We hope that we can rely on your support
We also request the UOM transport facilities on the 7th and 8th March 2012 at 22hr to drop the
student participants and organizing committee at their respective place.
