P&O Program
Due to projected Prosthetic and Orthotic practitioner shortages, Western Canadian Health
agencies have purchased seats in our Clinical Prosthetics and Orthotics program. Postgraduate
students with health and science related degrees are ideal candidates for these seats.
We’re passionate about attracting the best and brightest future practitioners, so this flyer is
being circulated with the intent of increasing the awareness of Prosthetics and Orthotics as a
dynamic career choice.
Students will find excellent funding support for their studies; with provincial bursaries and
allowances in addition to numerous industry awards available for learners choosing to pursue
their studies here in Greater Vancouver. A great package for the right candidate ‐ and an
opportunity for graduates to apply their valuable knowledge to a rewarding career that will
truly make a difference!
We are pleased to report that over the last 6 years 100% of our students have found
employment in P&O upon graduation, and recently U.S. News rated P&O a “Best Kept Secret”
Career: P&O Best Kept Secret!
An exciting development for the September 2010 intake is the opportunity for students
to benefit from our partnering with a renowned Canadian MSc. Program. This
arrangement will allow learners to study P&O on campus at BCIT and concurrently
work towards the completion of their MSc. degree via online studies.
Below are some P&O web links and the program prerequisites. Please take a few minutes to
