In Matthew account, Andrew’s name appears 2 nd , (10:2) He was from Bethsaida near Galilee (John 1:44). In the Greek Andrew means “manly” or “a strong man.” (Hitchcock’s Bible Names). In today’s society one who is “manly” is often muscular and rugged. In Andrews’s case we may consider him to be “manly” for different reasons. Consider some of these with me as to why and how he lived up to his name.
