I will now discuss ways to implement VARK learning styles
into a learning session.

In my presentation I will demonstrate how
learning styles can be applied in an
e-learning environment.
To achieve this I will first present a small e-learning session.
During the session, please write down the learning styles
that you identify in the session.
I will then pose two SES topics to Group1.Group 1 will then
suggest ways to implement each learning style for the
topics given.

In this module we will learn about the two
transmission methods that the SES radios
use. These are:
a) Direct
b) Repeater

Direct
When set to ‘Direct’ radios will transmit/receive between
all other radios on the same channel and within its range
(about 5km)

Repeater
When set to ‘repeater’ radios will transmit/receive from
Radio Towers. These towers pass the transmission onto
other towers. This provides a transmission range of
hundreds of kilometers

How to identify what mode a radio is set.
A || symbol is displayed to indicate that a radio is set to
Direct. No symbol is displayed in Repeater mode.

So far I have done all the talking. Now it is your turn to
practice. On the next screen you will see a graphic of an SES
radio.
The radio is set to Direct mode. Use your mouse to press
the Radios buttons to change the mode to Repeater.
Unfortunately only ONE person can use the demo at a
time, so I will ask for a volunteer from Group 1 only. Please
use the ‘hands up’ tool to volunteer.
