PROFILE
Experienced, enthusiastic mathematics teacher with a passion for helping students build their own mathematics
understanding and increase their self-confidence. Committed to an individualized approach with each student to assess
current level of understanding. Strong interest in after-school tutoring and in mentoring student athletes.
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Students learn best when a teacher’s educational toolbox contains a variety of teaching styles, activity types, and
assessment methods. I offer multiple entry points into my lessons. I assess students individually and in groups, and I
work with them and their parents if they struggle. I also provide firm classroom expectations that foster mutual respect.
