Shiva meaning "The Auspicious One", also known as Parameshwara (the Supreme God),Mahadeva, Mahesh ("Great God") or Bholenath ("Simple Lord"),

OM We worship the Three-eyed Lord who
is fragrant and who nourishes and
nurtures all beings. As is the ripened
cucumber (with the intervention of the
gardener) freed from its bondage (to the
creeper) May He liberate us from death
for the sake of immortality.

4. I am not the caste, I am not the caste rules,
I am not stages of life,
I am not rules, I am not the just conduct,
I am not meditation, I am not yogic practice,
For the concept of I and me destroy all these.
I am simply Shiva the self,
For this remains even in sleep,
After everything is taken out.

5. Nothing can separate us from the love
of Shiva " Shivoham Shivoham!!
The name of Shiva is as sacred as
Ganges; Similarly 'Bhasm'
and
'Rudraksha' are as holy as river
Yamuna and Saraswati respectively.
Therefore a devotee who possesses
the name of lord Shiva on his lips, Who
applies Bhasm on his person and who
wears a rudraksha in his neck attain
the virtues similar to that of taking a
bath in the sangam.

6. Love at the feet of shiva
eradicates all bad karma.
Love at the feet of shiva
bestows clarity of mind.
Love at the feet of shiva
fills the heart with joy. Love
at the feet of shiva is
consciousness itself ~
He is the Supreme and
beyond. As he blinks an
eyelid completes a cycle of
many yugas ~~ Shivoham
Shivoham..Shiva
is
Auspicious !!!

7. Meditate upon that Mahadeva
upon whom Krishna meditated.
Meditate upon that Shiva upon
whom Rama meditated. Meditate
upon that Shiva who is seated in the
hearts of Gods. Who is Mahadeva the God of Gods! Who is Mahakaal the great time and beyond. Who is
the controller of all three gunas of
material nature and is never
affected by any of these gunas.
Who is the controller of all the
three worlds, spiritual and material
nature, but is not affected by any of
these. Who is with and without a
form. He is Sadashiva.

8. Shiva and Gauri, They are one, inseparably one. His heart wouldn’t
beat without Gauri. He couldn’t breathe without Gauri. He
wouldn’t survive a day, a moment, without her love. He needs
her, as the fish in the sea needs water, as the birds in the sky need
air. If he is the day, she is his light. If he is the night, she is his
coolness. He can't exist without her~ Shiva looked at his beloved
and said, “No more shall you suffer any pain. From today, you and I
shall not be two bodies and one heart, but a single united body, a
single heart that beats with our love, a single soul glowing in that
love.”
Shiva gathers Gauri in his arms and holds her so tightly to him that
the two unite and became one. One body, one heart, one soul. A
single being. Half male, half female. ~ The ardhanarishwara.!

9. Lord Shiva is also known by the name of
'Chandrashekhara' which literally means the on
who holds the moon on His head. The crescent
worn by Lord Shiva is actually the moon in its
fifth day phase and symbolizes the cycle of
time through which the process of creation
evolves, the beginning till the end. Hence the
moon is the measure of time and the crescent
on Lord Shiva's head signifies His control over
time. It shows that Lord Shiva is beyond the
measure of time and is the eternal reality.
Therefore the moon is only His ornament and
not an integral part of the Lord. Thus, the
crescent moon on Lord Shiva's head signifies
His control over time and the fact that He is the
beginning and the end of all things in the
universe.

10. Shiva loves Damaru..a small drum
with two sides separated from each
other by a thin neck-like structure
symbolizes
the
two
utterly
dissimilar
states
of
existence,
unmanifest
and
manifest. When a damaru is
vibrated, it produces dissimilar
sounds which are fused together by
resonance to create one sound. The
sound thus produced symbolizes
Nada, the cosmic sound of
AUM, which can be heard during
deep meditation. According to
Hindu scriptures, Nada is the source
of creation.

11. Smeared in ashes He lives in trance,
From His hair pile Ganges bounce,
Serpents Him as ornaments entwine,
On forehead the curved moon shine,
Butter soft heart in dreaded looks,
Endless blessings devotee hooks,
God of gods He is Mahadeva,
Innocence incarnate is Lord Shiva.

12. Nataraj - the cosmic dancer represents the constant biodance
of life- creation, maintenance and
transformation and indicates the
perfect balance between life and
death. Shiva's dance is the most
inspiring and pragmatic act
typifying the eternal rhythm
which is the cause of the infinite
creative process. Shiva is the
presiding deity of the mind. The
entire universe created by Shiva is
his SHAKTI (Prakriti, or Nature) or
energy. Shiva's dance movements
represent the movement of his
SHAKTI or energy.

13. Where the ideas of parent and produced,
Purified thoughts and endless varied forms,
Merge in the Real one; where the existence ends
Of such conceptions as "within", "without"The wind of modification being stilledThat Hara I worship, the suppression
Of movements of the mind. Shiva I hail!

14. From whom all gloom and darkness have dispersed;
That radiant Light, white, beautiful
As bloom of lotus white is beautiful;
Whose laughter loud sheds knowledge luminous;
Who, by undivided meditation,
Is realised in the self-controlled heart:
May that Lordly Swan of the limpid lake
Of my mind, guard me, prostrate before Him!

15. I bow to the Feet of the Naked Lord Shiva,
Whose Body is Pure, Immaculate
Consciousness.
I bow to the Cosmic Power, Shiva-Shakti,
Manifestation of the Cosmic Consciousness.
I bow to Shankara, Lord of Mount Kailash,
I bow to the Feet of His Consort, Uma Devee
I bow to the Feet of all Tantrik Gurus.

16. In whom Lordship is ever established,
Who causes annihilation of delusion,
Whose most surpassing love made manifest,
Has crowned Him with a name above all names,
the name of "Mahadeva", the Great God!
Whose warm embrace, of Love personified,
Displays, within man's heart, that all power
Is but a semblance and a passing show.

17. I Bow to thee, O Shiva! You are known by the
letter Ma and adorned by innumerable devine
flower from mount Mandar. Your body is
anointed with the holy water of celestial Ganga
and sandals and you are sovereign king of
pramath ganas (your devotees).

18. O God of Gods! you are known by the letter va
and you are worshiped by Gods and the sages
like Vashishtha, Agastya and Gautam. The
Sun, the moon and the fire are like your three
eyes. I Bow to thee, O Shiva!

19. O Shiva you are the Yagna. O divine, eternal being with
matted hairs and the bearer of mighty bow called
Pinka, and wear sky as your cloths, I Pray to thee.

20. Whoever recites this prayer composed of the five
holy letters before Lord Shiva, attains the
supreme abode of his and enjoys his eternal
bliss.

21. O (Blue throat Lord) Nilkantha your flag bears the
emblem of dharma or virtue (
or bull is the symbol of
virtue) and you are resplendent sun of gauri’s (Godess
Parvati) lotus face. O Shiva! the destroyer of Daksha’s
yagna, you are known by the letter Shi. I Pray to thee.

22. I am neither the Mind nor the
Intelligence or Ego; I am beyond
Birth and Death; I am the Ever
Pure Blissful Consciousness;
I am Shiva, I am Shiva, I am Shiva.!

24. The Eternal Bliss . . The destroyer of Fear . . .The core of Universe

25. This is the gist of all worship: to be pure and to do good to others. He who sees
Shiva in the poor, in the weak, and in the diseased, really worships Shiva. And if he
sees Shiva only in the image, his worship is but preliminary. He who has served
and helped one poor man seeing Shiva in him, without thinking of his caste or
creed or race or anything, with him Shiva is more pleased than with the man who
sees Him only in temples.
