One of the significant benefits is the efficiency savings on power. Apple devices and
Google devices use far less power, than a desktop computer and monitor.
Additionally, costs of purchasing mobile devices means we can purchase more from
a fixed budget in comparison to standard desktop computers.
In summary, we have embedded the “Mobile Device and Cloud Computing” project
further in the College, which has resulted in more flexible and increased access for
our students, more devices are available, cost reductions have been achieved with
efficiencies and increased value for money. Going forward we will review the
progress throughout the year as a College and potentially look at implementing at
other campuses
