2. Foreword
How to take part in the auction:
We are delighted to launch a new fundraising initiative which will be piloted this year.
With this silent auction, we hope to raise money to enable further education students
to participate in an activity which would support their career aspirations, enhance their
employability and would provide them with an experience which would be over and
above what they might expect to receive as part of their course.
We are enormously grateful for the generosity of all the organisations and individuals
who have donated goods, services or other items to the auction. As you look through
this catalogue, you will see that we have been lucky enough to get the support
of former AoC Gold Award winners, AoC Beacon Award sponsors, Colleges and
exhibitors at the AoC Annual Conference.
Whether you are interested in bidding for a place at next year’s AoC Annual
Conference, a fan of Hannah Cockroft, think that Spencer Dale would be an inspiring
speaker for your students or fancy trying your hand at a cooking skills course, we
hope you will find some items of interest to you.
The AoC Charitable Trust hopes that this might be the first of many annual online
auctions it will hold to raise money to support your students and we hope that the
range of items on offer in this catalogue might inspire your College to offer items in
future years.
