1. Kinder Surprise Egg
The kinder surprise egg is a chocolate egg that contains a toy inside of it. The toy/egg is made by
an Italian company named Ferrero and was made in 1974. These toys are very popular in
England as collectors are willing to pay high dollar amounts for the toys. Once the buyer, or
child, were to receive the egg, they are able to eat two layers of chocolate. These layers are milk
chocolate and white chocolate. After they have eaten the chocolate egg, they are then able to find
a toy packaged inside. These toys take assembly to put together and are normally meant to
appeal to a younger age group. These toys are not able to be sold in the United States thanks to
the FDA. The FDA says that they are dangerous because children could choke on them and that
no food item is able to contain a non-nutritive item within it. This is the history of the kinder
surprise egg and how children in Europe and across the world play with it. The United States are
obviously too safe to allow such a fun and harmless item.
