An Angel Flight Success Story
If I said the name Cindy Kulp, would you know who I was talking about? My guess
is no. Unless of course you are one of the dozens of Angel Flight volunteer pilots
who have been privileged to fly her from her home in The Florida Keys to Orlando
for cancer treatment. Or, unless you are one of the many Showalter employees that
have followed her progress or driven her to MD Anderson for her doctors appoint-

quent visits, surgeries, treatments and hair loss. But those aren’t the things that
stand out in my memory. What I remember is her quick smile, her positive attitude
and her resolve that cancer would not rule her life. To look at her now with her
long hair pulled into a pony tail, her healthy glow and the same beautiful smile, you
know that Cindy has won her fight!
Not only has Cindy won, but she has been set free...given a clean bill of health!

Cindy’s November Angel Flight to Orlando was her last for the next five years. Bob

pilot Ed Moon flew the return leg. This wasn’t just any old flight for Ed. He and his
wife Michele took Cindy and her husband Rob out for a celebratory dinner when

crease does for all of his Angel Flight passengers.
I share this story for several reasons. I want to tell Cindy what an inspiration she is

home. And lastly I share

that it will inspire someone
