Santander extends scholarships at the
University of Bremen
Santander Universitäten supports ten Deutschlandstipendien at the University of Bremen.
Altogether Santander Universitäten currently supports 80 Deutschlandstipendien.
Germany, 26th November 2014-. The University of Bremen has awarded their Deutschlandstipendien. Santander again assumes ten of the Deutschlandstipendien. The bank supports the university in the name of Santander Universitäten, part of the global division Santander Universidades of Banco Santander. In the context of the social engagement of Banco Santander, Santander Universidades keeps partnerships with more than 1,100 partner universities worldwide since 1997. Currently Santander Universitäten supports 80 scholarship holders in Germany.
The scholarship certificates have been presented within the scope of an festive event by Prof. Dr.- Ing. Bernd Scholz-Reiter, Principal of the University Bremen, and Prof. Dr. Yasemin Karakaşoğlu, vice-principal for interculturality and internationality of the University Bremen. Altogether the university Bremen delivered 122 Deutschlandstipendien at the event. Santander will support the students additional through common projects and through the option of international career opportunities after completing their studies.
The Deutschlandstipendium is an initiative of the German Government. Talented students receive a support of 300 euro a month, half of which is paid by a private institution – in this case Santander, the other half is paid by the German Government. Through its global division Santander Universidades, Santander Germany also maintains cooperations with the Humboldt-University Berlin, the Goethe-University Frankfurt, the Georg-August University Göttingen, the University Heidelberg, the University of Cologne, the Westfälische Wilhelms-University Münster, the Hochschule Niederrhein and the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen.
Santander supports the scholarships in Germany in the name of Santander Universitäten, part of the Global division Santander Universidades of Banco Santander. In the context of social engagement Santander meanwhile supports partnerships with more than 1,100 Universities and research centers worldwide. The Santander Consumer Bank supports in Germany under the brand Santander Universitäten inter alia the allocation of „Deutschlandstipendien“.
