Podcasts are another way to incorporate technology in the classroom. Although this podcast is longer, it can be stopped at certain moments to discuss with the students. There is no need to listen to the entire podcast, just the parts that are important for the students to learn.
This Graphic Organizer was created using the program Inspiration. It has a list of terms that are often used in regards to estuaries. How is this diagram going to be used during a lesson? This graphic organizer will list terms that the class will become familiar with while learning about estuaries. The expectation is that the students will know these terms and be able to define them. How does this visual enhance student understanding of the topic? This organizer is a great list to have when learning a new topic. The students can use the organizer to help them study. I will give them photos to have them match the vocabulary words. This way it allows them to match a picture with the word to help them better understand.
This is made using program Inspiration. The objective is to have the students fill in the blanks. 1) How would this diagram be used in an actual lesson? This graphic organizer will enable students practice using the terms that go along with estuaries. This worksheet will be a follow up of the previous inspiration organizer. The purpose is to assess the students knowledge of estuaries. The students can also use this as a study guide if they want. 2)How does this visual enhance student understanding of the topic? This organizer can be a great tool to have when learning a new subject. Students can pair up with other students to see what other words they could have used. The students have the opportunity to pick which words to use instead of being told. The students feel like they have more freedom this way. The boxes are numbered to it is easier for them to go back and refer to a specific box when discussing with a friend.
