8. ECOSYSTEM
An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with the nonliving
components interacting as a system. There are many examples of ecosystems –
a pond, a forest, an estuary, a grassland.
11. RIVER AT MY SITE
The depth of the river is about 15cm to 20cm and the soil type is small particle
rough sandy. The water is clear at my site, so I can see the sand clearly. I had
tried to hold the sand with my hand and it feel rough. I also can found some
shell and small tree brunch in the river. After that, I collect some soil as
sample.
12. VIEW OF THE RIVERSIDE
There are many roots at the riverside. I found out that the soil type at here is
more smooth if compare with the soil in the center of river. This place also
become the frog’s habitat. In addition, there are some garbage thrown at
there. This action will affect and pollute the site if no coercion.
Garbage
13. RUBBER TREE TRUNK
The tree at my site is rubber tree. It is because I found some marks left by
knife-cut on the trunk which show in the small picture. The knife-cut is use to
collect the rubber. Furthermore, the touch of the skin is rough and there are
some white spot on it surface.
14. BOTTOM OF THE RUBBER TREE ( DRAGON SCALE )
At the bottom of the rubber tree, we found some plant which named
Dragon Scale. I think it might be some cling plant.
15. ROOT OF THE RUBBER TREE
The root is growing in the river, we can found some guppy fish in between
the roots and the small picture in the zoom-in of the root. Since the guppy
fish is too deep inside the river and root so I tried but failed to capture and
catch it.
16. ANOTHER PLANT AT MY SITE ( DOG TAIL GRASS )
I found this grass which named dog tail grass beside the rubber tree. I
tried to draw a texture of it but failed so I collect one of it to become my
sample (souvenir) in this journey.
17. SKETCHING OF MY SITE
There are some Guppy Fish
in between the roots.
These two trees are rubber tree
since the trunk got some marks
left by knife-cut and had been
cut to get the rubber.
18. IMPORTANT POINTS AT SITE
There are two tall rubber tree which be my
main role at my site.
In between the roots of rubber tree, there are
some guppy fish inside.
On the rubber tree trunk got mark left by
knife-cut which prove me it is a rubber tree
and some cling plant which is dragon scale.
There are some dog tail grass beside the
rubber tree.
29. SEE
On my journey back to my site, I saw a bird nest on the top of the tallest tree.
It was very tall and make my zoom in picture as shown in the small picture
look blur. However, the bird nest is really big, I think inside there might have a
big family of bird.
30. HEAR
I heard some sound like cricket and I found out the sound are from the
grasses inside the picture. I listen to it and I think this might be the
sound of nature.
31. SMELL
When I’m walking around with my group mate to find our site. I saw a
aboriginal make a small “campfire” beside the river and it smell like
smoke. But that is a method to help them drive away mosquitoes while
fishing.
32. TASTE
This is the water at riverside. I innervate to try it but it was tasteless.
33. FEEL
This is the view at the end part of the river. Some birds are flying in the
sky and I feel calm and relax at here. Actually, people who stay in the
city should take their time to go somewhere can relax and calm
themselves. This can help to release their stress.
35. UNKNOWN ROCK
It look like an living fossil when I first saw it beside the road. I am
guessing whether it was an egg of dinosaur.
36. UNKNOWN FOOTSTEP
Here might have a spared from war before I came. By the way, there is
a big footstep which shown in the zoom-in small picture.
37. UNKNOWN MUSHROOM
Oh! I found this near the pond beside the dining hall and it look
interesting though I’m not sure what it is. You can see its size which I
had used the pencil to measure it.
