Boston College is a private Jesuit university with 14,000 students. Its library has 2.6 million volumes and spends $8 million annually on acquisitions, with 60% spent on e-resources. The library uses several Ex Libris products and sees opportunities in partnering with Ex Libris to develop the Universal Resource Manager (URM) to help address challenges like transitioning collections from print to digital and redeveloping library spaces. The library hopes to work with Ex Libris in an open dialogue to develop new services through the URM framework that reduce costs while creating useful services for users.
