The fifth revision of the HTML standard (finalized Oct 2014)
• The <audio> element is commonly used to play back a
single audio file within a web page, showing an audio
player with play/pause/volume controls.
• It works with all browsers, however:
• .WAV files are not supported in Internet Explorer
