Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area Annual Report 2011
Hall of Fame Experience Impactful Week
1. July E-Blast
Hall of Fame Experience Has Impactful Week!
The Hall of Fame Experience capped
another impactful week with a lot of fun
mixed in as well. The AMF would like to
thank presenting partner, PNC Bank, and
all of our other partners that made the
eighth annual Hall of Fame Experience a
success. The weeklong event highlighted
the Foundation calendar and featured a
host of past and present sports stars from
the pro and college ranks.
The event included appearances by Pro
Football Hall of Famers Ted Hendricks,
Bobby Mitchell, Billy Shaw, Kellen
Winslow Sr. and Anthony. The Hall of
Famers were joined by former Bengals Eric Ball, Jim Breech, Louis Breeden, Glenn Bujnoch,
Barney Bussey, Isaac Curtis, David Fulcher, John Jackson, Dave Lapham, Max Montoya, Ken
Moyer and Eric Shaw. Bengals Head Coach Marvin Lewis and offensive lineman Andrew
Whitworth also played.
Scholarships, Semon Award Presented at Hall of Fame Dinner
The week kicked off with the Big Man on Campus Dinner thanks to the support of Furniture Fair
and our wonderful host for the evening, Manor House Banquet and Conference Center.
The evening had a couple of special presentations as the recipients of
Anthony Muñoz Scholarship Fund and Jim Semon Impact Award were
recognized. Tyra Chapple and Denaisha Thomas, both from Hughes
Center High School, William Comminos from Middletown High School
and Deborah LeGendre from Taylor High School were awarded
$20,000 in college scholarships from the Scholarship Fund.
Cincinnati Bell CEO Jack Cassidy was this year’s recipient of the Jim
Semon Impact Award. Mr. Cassidy spearheaded, along with more
than 50 other Cincinnati Bell “tutors,” the nationally recognized
program at Taft Information Technology High School, which provides
inner-city youth with the education they need to be responsible and
productive citizens. He has supported the AMF and many other
charitable causes in the Greater Cincinnati community.
The AMF would also like to thank all of the celebrity guests who attended including Ben Utecht
who sang an incredible song during the program, the amazing Hall of Fame silent auction
committee and volunteers for making the dinner such a memorable event.

Hall of Fame Golf Classic All Aces
Congratulations to the Duramed Championship team and celebrity guest, Connie Dierking, for
2. July E-Blast
winning the Hall of Fame Golf Classic presented by Cincinnati. They received the prestigious
traveling Hall of Fame Helmet Trophy as well as the Cincinnati Bengals Prize Package of pre-
game field passes and (4) four club seats to the game of their choice.
The TPC River’s Bend once again had the course in immaculate condition that treated the
golfers to wonderful day on the course. Trick shot artist Glen Farnsworth treated the crowd to a
show as he did imitations of famous golfers and a number of seemingly impossible golf shots.
The AMF family would like to thank everyone who made the Golf Classic a success, especially
the celebrities, golf committee and volunteers.

Old Spice Anthony Muñoz Hall of Fame Football Academy
More than 475 kids took to the fields at Sycamore High School for the Old Spice Hall of Fame
Football Academy. The campers learned about the keys to success on the field, at school and in
their community.
In addition to the numerous high school coaches that coached the camp, the kids had guest
speakers that included former Bengal Ken Moyer, current Bengals Andrew Whitworth and Ben
Utecht and University of Cincinnati Head Coach Brian Kelly.
