Most of the nonviolent
 peoples have a wide range of
   strategies for promoting
     interpersonal harmony,
 building mutual respect, and
    fostering toleration for
individual differences. Many of
      them are masters at
 devaluing conflicts, minimizing
and resolving them when they
    do occur, and preventing
   them from developing into
     violence. Many of these
peaceful societies also devalue
  competition, self-focus, and
   other ego-centered social
    behaviors that they feel
      might lead to violence.

• In practice, peace education is problem-posing that attempts to build in
  every person universal values and behaviours, including the development
  of non-violent conflict resolution skills and a commitment to working
  together to realise a shared and preferred future.
• Peace education includes the cultivation of skills such as dialogue,
  mediation, artistic expression.
• Peace educators, then, teach the values of respect, understanding, and
  nonviolence, present skills for analyzing international conflict, educate for
  alternative security systems, and use a pedagogy that is democratic and
