1. PA West Soccer is excited to announce the compilation of the 3rd
annual District Teams. These
teams are for travel players currently registered within PA West Soccer/U.S. Youth Soccer. Accepted
players receive the most advanced training offered by the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and
will participate this summer in a District Cup Tournament, competing against teams from the other
PA West Soccer districts.
Eligibility: All U10-U14 players currently registered on a PA West Soccer - South District Travel
team, except those participating in any Classic program (including non-US Youth
Soccer clubs). U9 players are not eligible.
Tryouts: Players will be assessed in their participating age group for the spring 2013
Season. Evaluations will be held on June 6 @ Boyce/Mayview Rec. Center
Fields, 1541 Mayview Road Pittsburgh, PA 15241
at the following times:
U10s 5:30 – 6:30
U11/U12s 6:30 – 7:30
U13/U14s 7:30 – 8:30
Players are NOT required to attend both evaluation sessions.
Pre-Registration Required: Contact Tim Gaskill @ bysasoccer@verizon.net
and provide player name, date of birth and shirt size - parents’ name & phone
number & email address to register.
Player Pools: There will be one pool with a maximum of 20 players each per group and gender
in U10, U11/U12 and U13/U14.
2. Cost: The cost per player is $100.00 payable upon selection to the player pool. There is
NO cost to tryout.
Training: There will be ten (10) training sessions conducted by Larry Fingers - PA West
Olympic Development Program (ODP) coach. Training sessions will be held at
400 N. Branch Rd, Oakdale, PA 15071
U10 boys and girls – Mondays & Thursdays 6:00 to 7:30
U12 boys and girls – Mondays 7:30 to 9:00 – Thursdays 6:00 to 7:30
U14 boys and girls – Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30 to 9:00
Mondays June 10, 17, 24 July 8, 15 U10 & U12 – boys and girls
Tuesdays June 11, 18, 25 July 9, 16 U12 & U14 – boys and girls
Thursdays June 13, 20, 27 July 11, 18 U10 & U14 – boys and girls
District Cup: Players will participate in the District Cup Tournament, scheduled for August 3rd
