12. Government Liaison Program Bridging Engineers and Government Created in 2005 to improve government understanding of the role of PEO in governing the profession of engineering. Positions PEO on the same side of the table with government to solve public interest issues related to professional engineering. Established relationships between the 36 PEO chapters and their local MPPs, MPs, city councillors and bureaucrats. Ontario Centre for Engineering and Public Policy (OCEPP) initiated in 2008, resulted in the creation of the Journal of Policy Engagement.
