Wireless Sensor Technology is an evolving and growing sector that can be integrated
across many other business areas. The WiSAR Project based in Letterkenny IT aims to
be a centre of excellence in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) particularly Body Area
Networks and the application of WSNs in buildings to measure, evaluate and minimise
power consumption. There are many potential applications for this technology including
medical devices, health monitoring, elderly monitoring, disability assistance, sports, and
entertainment.
