“I got thrown into the deep end with an
emergency case…a young woman delivered a
little boy at a ‘nursing home’. She came in at
2 a.m.; bleeding, unresponsive and cold. After
giving her fluids and blood, everyone was
ordered to start praying… and she held on to
life. Yesterday I went to see her and found her
sitting up in bed with her new son, Joshua.”
Maria marveled at her recovery. “We had so
little to give her; in the U.S. things would have
been SO different. I don’t know how she
survived, but miracles do happen!”
