  I’m sure you will all agree the future for construction, let alone equality and diversity is a little unclear at the moment. From public sector cuts and their effects on the BSF programme to the leaked reports regarding the privatisation of Construction Skills the days ahead are certain to be a challenge. With smaller funding pots and less jobs, opportunities will become harder to find especially regarding diversity in this vast and fragmented industry. A year and a half ago when this newsletter was first set up its aim was to pull people together from all walks of industry and let them know what was happening in relation to equality and diversity in construction, we now consider that role even more important for not only the individual, but for the future of the built environment.So please help us to ensure we are as effective as possible, by firstly filling in our quick questionnaire on how we can improve, and secondly forwarding this email on to at least one person.
