Why the peer assist In r4d effort, communication plays an integral role in assisting to support the theories of change  There is a need to see communication as part of the research effort not just as the products  Move the away from the discourse to the action Take the opportunity to interact between communication staff around the world and researchers – build common understanding of the linkages between Research and Communications
Objectives Support development of the LDBC communication Support ideas for integrating communication into project theories of change
Process for the peer assist  Each project will get 3-4 communication staff to work with  Three basic questions What are your main information/communication needs? What are are some emerging messages? What would be some key activities that could be implemented to support the research  Present back to group and see overlaps, areas of complementaries and action steps
