3. WHY NOT PLAGIARIZE?
Plagiarism is not something to be played with and should
be taken very seriously. Major consequences can come from
doing it, some even far as being put in Jail. It is critical to make
sure that the information obtained by you is not completely
word by word plagiarism. The worst situation to be put in is to
copy someone else’s work, knowing that not any of the
information received actually came from you brain. Be
original, unique, and stay away from stealing another's ideas.
4. EXAMPLES OF DIRECT PLAGIARISM
There are a few ways that you can Plagiarize. On this slide, I will
present some of the ways you can do so.
• 1. By not listing any references on the page of where you
obtained the information from.
• 2. By Copying another person’s work exactly word by word
without any quotation marks and no references.
• 3. By paraphrasing the information, but still not listing any
references of where you received your information from.
5. FACTS OF PLAGIARISM
• Studies show that at least about 80% of college students
admit to cheating or “plagiarizing”.
• Internet plagiarism can come in many different types of
forms.
• Plagiarism is illegal and is considered a law.
• Plagiarism is originated from the word “Kidnapper”.
• Plagiarism can be avoided.

7. A CONVERSATION BETWEEN 2
STUDENTS
Teacher : “Alright students, for homework your going to do a 5
page paper report on the biology of animals in science. The due
date is by this Friday, and remember, NO PLAGIARISM !”.
Johnny: Ahh man I really don’t feel like doing this paper.
Ricky: I know right, I wish there was a way to do it without any kind
of effort.
Johnny: Well…there is one way, but it involves breaking the rules.
Ricky: Dude, you don’t mean……
Johnny: Yeah Ricky, copying and pasting the whole thing all the
way through. In other words, plagiarizing.
Ricky: It might be the wrong thing to do, but I’ll do it as long as I
don’t have to do anything.
8. WRONG DECISIONS
That conversation above was a perfect example of what
students should never do. A wrong decision, those two students
Ricky and Johnny decided to do the wrong thing and
plagiarize. Later that Friday, the same two students got caught
for the plagiarism in their projects and as a result, both students
received an F grading for the whole semester. So plagiarizing is
not a joke, and making the wrong decision can lead to bad
results.
