2. Who is Markus?
I started at CareerBuilder in late 2008 as an inside sales rep.
In the summer of 2009 I became responsible for the Employer Branding product
“The Job Guide”, a book sent out to university students.
At this time I was also responsible for introducing Facebook marketing to the
largest clients in Sweden.
In 2010 I became responsible for continued expansion and development of the
Career Days™ brand and events, which since then grew from 1 to 3 cities.

4. Why should Markus work in Marketing?
After 5 years in sales I find myself being very passionate and interested in digging
deeper and learning more whenever I get the opportunity to work with marketing.
I think that my sales experience will be a great asset for me both in communicating
with sales, and also in developing marketing material and strategies.
I think I can provide great value at the same time as I further develop skills such as:
Market analysis
Developing marketing concepts and strategies
Interpreting key metrics and using them to adjust marketing efforts for better results
Presenting to large groups
I also look forward to having more reasons to dig in to literature and research in
marketing, and getting opportunities to try out new ideas in practice.
5. What relevant experience does Markus have?

Developed digital and printed marketing sales material for several products

Market research – studied and followed the competition to see what they are doing, and how they were
marketing their products.

Created and launched several successful B2B email campaigns with A/B testing, delivering warm leads that
lead to several closed deals.

Co-created and co-developed successful B2C email campaigns
• Suggested and implemented several ideas for A/B testing
• Created original copy for several email campaigns
• Created taglines for outdoor marketing campaigns
•
Initiated, negotiated and developed some of the largest partnerships that CareerBuilder.se has with clients and
collaborating organizations
Planned, negotiated and cost optimized outdoor marketing campaigns

Analyzed results data from our events to gain intelligence on how to best focus future marketing efforts:
• Discontinued ineffective radio campaigns
• Established screening questions in booking system
• Focused marketing efforts on hard to find candidates
•
Plenty of experience in planning, preparation and execution of events
•
Attended and presented at European leadership meetings (presented for all European MD’s, sales managers
and Matt Ferguson)
