2. About This Foundation Our movement TWLOHA was founded in Orlando, Florida in February 2006 as a written true story. The story was about a friend that was denied treatment at a drug treatment center and the five days spent with that person. This foundation helps people who are trying to find help for problems they may have like suicide, depression, and addiction.

3. Mission and Values To Write Love On Her Arms is a non-profit movement to help encourage people and bring hope. We are determined to find help for people struggling with different problems in like such as depression, addiction, self injury, and suicide. We provide people someone to reach out to and talk about there issues to so they don’t feel lonely or hurt themselves to the extreme.

4. Inputs We have a small full-staff of 12 and interns who respond to messages we receive on MySpace and everyday emails. Majority of our support comes from our T-shirt sales people ask what the shirt means and we get the opportunity to share the story of TWLOHA and inform them of us. Our street teams help us promote and advertise out foundation to others and every time they engage in a mission on the street team website they earn points for free things. SocialVibe is a web site that people can interact to raise money for our foundation by combining social networking, advertising, and social justice.

5. Outputs We focus on helping people find help with the different problems they may have like depression. We don’t just help teens and young people we help anyone in need. We don’t just help them find a treatment center we support them and consult them.

6. Process The TWLOHA team orchestrates a walks called Out Of The Darkness Walk. We have also launched a IMAlive with the Kristin Brooks Hope Center. IMAlive is a live online crisis network that uses instant messages to respond to people in crisis 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also have some of our team members who go to universities and speak to the students and clarify what we are about.

7. Outcomes We have provided glib people about information about our movement. Our adept team members have provided a way for those in need of someone to talk to, to save their life. We have provided people with information on where to go for treatment that may have stopped them from committing suicide. We have saved people from taking their own life.

8. Goal The goal of our organization is dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people dealing with addiction, suicide, and depression. We exist to encourage, inform, inspire, and to undergird people to go to treatment and recovery. We help people with providing them someone to talk to and somewhere to go when they are dealing with those issues.

9. Need in The Community There is a very extreme need for this type of organization in our community. In the past week 6 teenage boys have committed suicide. 121 million people worldwide suffer from depression. 18 of these cases are happening in the United States. 2/3 of those suffering from depression never seek treatment.

10. Need in The Community (Continued) Untreated depression is the number one cause of suicide, and suicide is the third leading cause of death among teenagers. Since depression causes suicide and since it’s the third leading cause of deaths we seriously need to glean more about how people dealing with this needs help and get treatment. We also need help in the community with self-injury. It was a mystery in 1996 when Princess Diana revealed that she had struggled with it. it has become more visible in society in the last ten years, 2% of the population deals with this.

11. How does this link to Critical Action? The To Write Love On Her Arms movement has to explain to people that come to our organization for help how they can get that treatment and support them. We had to generate ways that if people came to us what we would do so we had great team members to support these people who came to us and give them hope in having them believe they can recover from what they are going through.

12. How does this link to Critical Thinking? TWLOHA has to organize different ways to reach out to people and get our mission out there to the community that’s why we organize walks and benefit concerts for out organization. We have to connect to the people that come to us for help so we understand where they are coming from and how they feel so we can help them with their issues.

13. Just Think Foundation The Just Think Foundation is mission is to lead responsible, independent, healthy lives by not being impacted by the media. They want the youth to make healthy decision for there life and to think for themselves.

14. Just Think Foundation To Write Love On Her Arms Want people to have hope and live healthy lives. We encourage people to reach out to our movement to get help and find a treatment center for there problem. Talk to someone about their problem so they aren’t dealing with it alone and so it doesn’t lead to death. Just Think Live healthy lives and not be impacted by the media. Engage positively with their peers, parents, educators, and community. Think for themselves.
