1. Delicious: Social Bookmarking
Delicious is a social bookmarking web service for storing, sharing and discovering web bookmarks. When
we work from our own desktop or laptop computers, no doubt we have bookmarked our most-used or
websites. But there’s a problem… The only time those bookmarks can be accessed is if you’re on that
computer. In using Delicious, you can access your bookmarks ANYWHERE!
Step 1: Creating an Account

Click on
“Join Now”
Step 2: Register for a Yahoo ID (Delicious is a Yahoo company)
Click on
“Sign Up”
and follow
screen
prompts.

2. Step 3: Choose a link to your Delicious account.
Choose from the list
created for you or create
your own.
Step 4:
Choose one

3. Step 5: Getting Started …
Click and follow the
screen prompts.
Step 6: Save a new bookmark…
Type in the URL and click
on “Next”

4. Provide an annotation
for the bookmark.
If this were an article
for students to read as
a part of their course
work, you could
include questions they
must answer or any
follow-up activity.
Tags are key words that
would be associated with
the content and/or
purpose of the site. Don’t forget to save
your bookmark!
Note: Tagging is what makes Delicious social. By tagging your bookmarks, you can connect with others
who have used the same tags and in turn, you discover other websites that you may want to include in your
list of bookmarks.
