This piece is based upon my own feelings about the up and coming transition from university into the working world. As I began my final year at university I realised how different things would soon become. I feel due to universities being under the microscope within the news and the current economic climate, tensions are heightened between these transitions. When speaking to fellow students I realised they too felt confused, scared and alone. This inspired me to create my piece in order to show the vulnerability felt at the looming transition and to remind us that although we may feel alone we aren’t. I have tried to explore elements of identity within the piece also through reflecting the fears that the subjects have, I feel that natural lighting and speech enhances this quality within my work.
