Question 6: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Having started from nothing – I’ve certainly learnt a lot!
 I’ve learnt how to set up the pages for the
appropriate spread sizes
 I’ve learnt how to insert and arrange pictures placing
them appropriately
 I’ve learnt how to use swatches
 I’ve learnt how to create pull quotes and drop capitals
 I’ve learnt how to adjust fonts, their positioning on
the page (baseline shift) and their thickness using the
tools on the top bar of font features
 I’ve learnt how to apply effects such as shadowing

 ‘InDesign’ is used within the magazine
industry – it’s a very popular software
package to use because of the professional
results it gives.
 I’ve used the same technology to create my
pieces as would be used within the real
industry.
