All Community Maths School courses are run by friendly, experienced teachers who are currently
teaching ‘A’ level Maths in top-performing state schools. We know what it takes to perform well in
‘AS’ and ‘A’ level Mathematics exams. We know how to help you to prepare well. Easter revision is vital
to exam success. The Community Maths School helps you maximise your progress.
Course days have an average of 6 students formed into informal groups. Courses run on:

Morning Session Master Classes
The Master Class is 3.5 hours of focused and supported learning
Price £75 per Master Class (£200 any 3 Master Classes)
Refreshments are provided.
Focus on the correct topics and the core skills necessary for success in your exams.
Teaching is tailored to the needs of individual students. The course includes coaching on successful exam technique.
Advice and tuition from an experienced head of Mathematics to help boost your confidence. Revision materials are provided.

* Students who need a kick-start to organising their maths revision.
Full Day Master Classes and Clinics
The Master Class and Clinic is 6 hours of focused and supported learning
Price £120 per Master Class and Clinic (£300 any 3 Master Classes and Clinics)
Refreshments are provided.
Afternoon sessions provide a maths clinic with specific focus on individual needs and the provision of one-to-one tuition
Who Should Attend? * Students who need some extra individual tuition to help them prepare to take their exams;
* Students who need a better understanding of the topics to boost their confidence;
* Students who need a kick-start to organising their maths revision.
Exam Fright Control Course

Two, 90 minute confidence and phobia exercise clinics. Wed 16 April 2.00pm and Tues 13 May 6.00pm
£50 Course
The ‘Exam Fright Control’ is not restricted to maths. It is for all those who struggle to give their best under exam conditions.
The course tutor, Kate Patterson, is a former Head Teacher who is also qualified as an accredited Thrive Consultant and
hypnotherapist. The course is delivered in two parts, in the Easter Holidays and shortly before the exams.
The Exam Fright Control course teaches proven techniques that help to cope with exam nerves and phobias.
The techniques we teach help to boost personal confidence; improve motivation; increase your use of existing powers of
memory and concentration. Together these things will help resolve exam nerves and aid performance under exam conditions.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone who has a history of achieving better marks from coursework than from exams
